Our Story

Been There, Hemmed That.

Before I built Five One Apparel, I wasn’t looking to start a clothing line.

But I was tired of dresses that bunched up in all the wrong places, sleeves that swallowed my hands, and shoulders that didn’t sit right.

Tired of spending more money on fixing clothes than buying them.

Tired of hemming, shortening, and altering clothing before I could wear them once.

This Wasn’t the Plan. But It Fit.

I just wanted to look good—without the ordeal that came with it.

So I searched for a brand that catered to real petite people.

When I couldn’t find it, I built it.

Our Mission: Shop well. Dress well. End of story.

"The shoulder seams hit right, the sleeves don’t drown me, and I don’t have to guess where the waist is supposed to sit. I didn’t even realize how off my old clothes were until I tried these."
— Esti R.
"I ordered a skirt and top and was shocked how well they both fit. The fabric feels great, the stitching is solid, and best of all, I actually feel comfortable in it all day."
— Rikki D.
"I used to automatically factor in alteration costs every time I bought a dress. It’s such a relief to finally shop from a brand that starts with petite measurements—not just cuts a few inches off."
— Tamar S.
"I'm 5'1 and have never once tried on a dress that didn’t need tailoring, until now. The sleeves, the length, even the neckline… everything just worked straight out of the box."
— Chevy M.
"I’ve always struggled to find things that feel put-together without being too ‘cutesy’ or junior. These pieces are elegant, flattering, and truly made for grown women who happen to be short."
— Leora B.
